These terms cover the radiosursangam.in website, the Radio Sur Sangam mobile apps, our live stream, and any contest we run. By listening, submitting a recording or entering a contest, you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Radio Sur Sangam is a 24×7 Internet radio station for non-professional singers. You can reach us at radiosangaminternational@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +91 99563 93777.
Listening is free, and always will be. It is for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please do not re-broadcast, re-stream, rip or redistribute our stream or library, or present our content as your own. You may of course share links to any page on the site.
Airtime is for non-professional singers only. Professional and playback singers are not eligible — on air or in contests. This is the founding rule of the station, not a technicality, and we enforce it.
When you submit a recording, you confirm that:
You keep ownership of your performance. You are not selling it to us. You give us permission — non-exclusive, and free — to broadcast it, include it in our Sargam library, Moods, Showcase, podcast and promotional posts, and to make the ordinary technical copies and format conversions broadcasting requires. No money passes in either direction: we do not charge you, and submitting does not entitle you to payment or royalties.
Most of what our singers perform are cover versions of existing songs. The composition, lyrics and original recording of such a song belong to their respective owners, and nothing here transfers or claims any right in them. We make no claim over any underlying work.
If you own rights in a song and believe a performance on this station should not be carried, write to us and we will take it down — see section 8.
Our contests, including the Navras series, are free to enter. We do not charge an entry fee. Each contest publishes its own rules — eligibility, how many songs, deadlines, how scoring works — and those published rules apply alongside these terms. Where they conflict, the contest's own rules win.
Do not submit anything obscene, hateful, or intended to demean a person or community; do not attempt to manipulate voting; and do not interfere with the running of the site. We may remove content or withdraw access where this is not respected.
If you are a singer and want your recording removed, ask us and we will remove it — it is your voice, and you do not owe us a reason. If you are a rights holder with a complaint about a particular performance, tell us which song and where it appears, and we will act on it.
We run this station with care, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Streams drop, servers restart and schedules shift. We provide the service as it is, and we are not liable for loss arising from it being unavailable.
How we handle your data is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply.
